🇸🇮 Slovenia… spectacular, serene and seriously underrated.

Two days in country number 8, but Slovenia packed in some of the biggest highlights of our trip.

From the moment we crossed the border, we were greeted by charming villages and postcard-perfect scenery before arriving in beautiful Piran. We swam in the Adriatic, cooled off with ice creams, wandered the winding cobblestone streets, and enjoyed one of the best seafood dinners we’ve had anywhere in Europe.

Back at camp, the girls were thrilled to spot a wild beaver, and we soaked up some peaceful downtime by the sea.

The next day was unforgettable. Visiting the magnificent Lipica Stud Farm and exploring the spectacular Škocjan Caves was an absolute highlight. The history was fascinating, but the cave system itself was simply next level, one of the most breathtaking natural wonders we’ve ever experienced.

We finished our stay at a fantastic €10 motorhome stop, picked up delicious local produce and a beautiful Slovenian red wine for dinner, before rolling on to Italy.

Slovenia may be small, but it packs a serious punch. From medieval seaside towns and world-class caves to iconic horses, incredible food and peaceful camps by the sea, this little country delivered some of the biggest highlights of our entire trip. If you’re planning a European road trip, don’t make the mistake of driving straight through, make sure a catch a few of these cool sites in this remarkable little country. 🇸🇮
