10 days. 5 countries. Countless stories…and some insights too.
- The “quick stop” isn’t always quick 😁.
- Google Maps and common sense regularly disagree.
- Every country has a different toll system, and they all seem designed by different committees who never spoke to each other.
- Every border crossing feels exciting, even when you don’t realise you’ve crossed one until 20 minutes later. Making the aforementioned toll situation even more interesting!
- Camper fridges are a test in Tetris skills (similar to work diaries 😂).
- Kids can survive on gelato, croissants and enthusiasm for surprisingly long periods.
- There are more variations in shower pressure, temperature and utility than one can reasonably conceptualise.
- A motorhome turns every supermarket into a treasure hunt 🏴☠️.
- It’s usually best to unplug the camper from the campsite power before driving away 😱.
Ten days ago we landed in Germany with a plan. Since then Scamper has carried us through 5 countries, medieval towns, castles, campsites, ferries, across borders and to many cool adventures.
Bring on Part 2. 🚐✨
